News about Telegraph Hill published by the Telegraph Hill Dwellers and mailed to its members. Began as the Telegraph Hill Bulletin in 1956 , it became the Telegraph Hill Semaphore in 1967, and now is called The Semaphore . It is still being published quarterly.
Tenderloin neighborhood community newspaper published mostly monthly from 1977 to 1994. The newspaper began as a project of Hospitality House originally developed as an activity for the clients of its Drop-In Center. Beginning in 1986 the paper was published in four languages reflecting the diverse population of the neighborhood: Khmer, Laotian, Vietnamese, and English. In 1993, the paper fluctuated between being trilingual (dropping Laotian) and quadrilingual.
